Cogent Enterprise BlackBox

Cogent Enterprise BlackBox is designed for customers with more than fifteen employees working from a single location. We install a dedicated server at your site and Cogent Enterprise manages all the services you need to support your business on your premises using the latest infrastructure, e.g. with our dedicated fibre-optic Internet connectivity. Our management tools and framework enable transparent management of your systems from our data centre via secure systems management software. Connection to your service is totally transparent so any authorised user can gain access to the service. We will do all we can in the services we offer you to minimise any problems you might have. You can work from any location in the world with a reliable broadband connection, and our service fully supports mobile access to core-business information as standard. This includes email, calendar, business contacts and document collaboration.

Your sole responsibility is to ensure that a new tape is placed in the server each night for system backup and that backup tapes are taken offsite in case access to your site becomes impossible and we need to invoke the SafeBox business-continuity support where we bring back all your valuable server application and data to our data centre.

Helpdesk Support

Our service is fully backed by our UK-based help desk, offering core business-hours support (8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday) as standard. Support covers such issues as connectivity where your employees need help reconnecting to their service. In addition, we can help your users with those 'What do I do here' type questions where we will direct them to the appropriate resources so they can find out how to achieve a particular task, such as how to carry out an email merge using Microsoft Word and Outlook, or how to analyse data using Excel Pivot tables.
